| | Should females drive Tow Truck? I want too! | | Tow truck drivers have never ending work. Every day while listening to the police scanner I hear of multiple wrecks in my county and tow truck companies being dispatched left and right. My man is a tow truck driver and he stays very busy, so busy in fact that i am considering becoming a tow truck driver myself, if nothing else to help him and his fathers business out. He thinks it would be neat, hard work but that I would do good. I too think I would, but I do think the men who I have to go and tow will be to happy about it, especially if one can not change his own Car Tire and i have to do it for him. LOL that wil make my whole day. lol So what do you think about a female tow truck driver? Would you want her or me to tow your car or truck or recover it from over a cliff. Don't let appearance hinder your decision, Girls are way more capable than most think. | |
| | New Type of Tire | | This probably belongs elsewhere, in "technology", but I just learned about a new type of car-tire, the "next generation", which are supposedly manufactured by Michelin at the South Carolina plant, and which were allegedly at at the Philadelphia Auto Show.
These are "see-through" tires, as you can perceive from the pic below, and the "spokes" are all one piece with the rubber from the outside wrap!
Naturally, they are "airless", which means that the Police better come up with something other than the spike strips to stop speeding getaways.
The way I see it, somebody came up with these on account that most gas stations don't have air-pumps anymore (people steal their hoses), or else they charge for it if they do.!

| | Tell Me Your Funniest Blonde Moment | | No you dont have to be blonde to have blonde moments, it is just a saying. But I am blonde, and I have had some pretty funny ones. I dont consider myself unintelligant, but we all do and say silly, even dumb things at some point in our lives. So here is my funniest, IMO, blonde moment, I am sure there are tons more lol.Probably when I was in my early twenties, because I was still partying, so I am sure that is the correct time frame. I was on my way to my moms, way out in the boonies, and my car tire blew out. I amazingly was able to control the car and get it over to the side of the road. I was a very independant, and even stubborn young woman so of course I was going to change it myself without asking for help. Several nice motorists had stopped to offer assistance, all of whom I said no. Ok so I got out the spare tire, no easy task I might add, since it was bolted on so tight, that I thought I was gonna blow a blood vessel. Then I got out the jack thingy. I had the car all pumped up, and was starting to loosen the bolts on the flat tire. A car pulled up next to me and said I think you need help in this sarcastic tone. | | Should you go to that extent with Police. | | [em]confused[/em]There was an incident of robbery on a motorway sometimes ago and the police stopped the Car that was coming behind,got into the car and started pursuing this armed robbers. They were not the ones driving though, but they got inside, both in front and behind,the owner of this car was driving while they were shooting,they finally got one of the stolen car's tire puntured.
THe driver was very lucky not to have been hurt.Do you think it wa[em]shocked[/em]s right for them to take that car and still ask the civilian to be driving while they were shooting? | |
| | if i am dying today what is you last words to say to me.. | | when my father leaving us from this world i never had a change to say this, i have gone for study and i don't have a change to get back home early when my father sick become worst, my father have hard to breath so he need an oxygen for help, me and my brother is the only person that know how to change the oxygen, that day when the oxygen has empty my father ask someone to change it, but my mother and my sister don't know how to do it, so they are hurry to bring my father to the hospital, along the way to the hospital the car tire has puncture and this make some effect to my father condition, arrive at hospital my father still can stand for it, until 5.00am he look at my mom eye and slowly he close it eye and gone for ever, i get home one day after cause they is no flight departure early.. until now the word still in my mind.. | |
| | I am stupid in driving | | Feeling rather upset and stupid about myself. I am unable to drive and I am learning how to drive from my spouse. I felt retarded and useless when come to drive the car. Whenever I sit into the driver seat with my spouse and children behind me when I am learning. I am rather scared and panicked especially with my spouse who is my instructor. Worst of all, I get his tire flat when I accidentally drive the car to the curb which cut the car tire deep. He is angry, upset and disappointed of course. Yeh, I got a good scolding and lecture from him. I am so upset, disappointed, felt stupid and useless about myself. | | What things do you collect? Are you sentimental about anything you collect? | | My mother collected owl statues. One friend of mine seems to collect books and clothing. One sister collects tea cups. Still another sister collects sea shells. My dad collected stamps and coins. And everyone seems to have a collection of photographs.I have a collection of polished rocks that were given to me by my adopted Lakota brother... I have also bought a few of my own. I think that they are so pretty and healing too. I hold one stone in particular and it feels as if my brother Luis, He who walks with many bears, is still alive because I found it near my car tire parked on a street near my apartment complex on my birthday after mourning the fact that he had died three months earlier and would not be giving a stone to me as he always did on my birthday... I was surprised to see the polished dogtooth amythest near my car tire and knew that it was a gift from him as there was no other explanation for it.What do you collect?

| | These kids are horrible...what could you have done? | | Last night as I was giving myself a pedicure, I heard laughing and screaming noises outside our house. Intrigued, I decided to go and see what the fuss is all about. To my horror and dismay I saw six kids age ranging from 5-7 years old, surrounding a little kitten screaming and shouting and poking it. One of the boys held the kitten and asked his playmate to put the kitten under a car's tire so that they would see how the kitten would react if its foot got run over. Another one suggested to kill it by dumping it in the sewer, while the other one threatened to put it inside their dog's cage. The little girl was screaming "the kitten might be lost and is looking for its mother"...but the boys did not heed that...they instead laughed out loud (horrible laugh) and continued to imitate the kitten's meow horribly while laughing. The last straw was when one of the boys picked the kitten and tried to suffocate it by placing a plastic on its head. I screamed to stop and run to them to grab the kitten. I shouted at them telling them that what they are doing is wrong and that if it is done to them how would they feel? I swear I could have spoken to their parents but apparently these kids are... | |
