This was a time when rappers challenged each other in a more uplifting matter. This was also a time when the music was based on lyrics. Those mc's that brought an undeniable lyrical flow, raced to the top of the charts and gained noticable publicity. Nowadays, you have to speak about riding big chrome rims, the amount of girls you get, and your monetary worth, in order to be recognized. Its really a shame, what this music has turned to. Whats even worst is the perception of what hip hop has become. The music that I hear on most radio station and tv broadcasts, is not what I call hip hop. Please understand that there are some artist that are giving the listener, some worthwhile info and some quality music, but for some reason, its not heard or seen as much. It makes you wonder why corporate heads choose to promote such distasteful music. I am sure they aren't listening to it. In all, I am most disappointed in what this music does to the youth. Yes as a parent, we must monitor our kids, and expect the best from them when we arent around. But I think we can all agree that music plays an... | |

| | You've never met anyone like... | | Instructor 2006..He is a 27 yr old male..with no kids..he works a full time job with the mentally disabled community(who doesn't)..He drives a 4dr, escort with 17inch chrome rims, tinted windows(he really thinks it's something special)..He loves music..that's all he talks about...He has a home studio where he does his recording, producing or whatever sound he's constructing..he has a mother and sister that he loves dearly..he has a dad( he doesn't see or talk him that much since his folks divorced in 95 and moved to SC)..he has a lot of good qualites..he's somewhat of a internet psychologist..he counsels the masses as well as offline...People bring all types of problems to him and he just sorts right thru them..He's a great guy..Have you met him?ic.
