See what others are saying about Used Tire Rims| Sports Cards, Do you sell or collect? | | I love selling and collecting sports cards, it can be any sport but I prefer NASCAR cards or game used cards, their unique and can be worth a lot of money. Are there any other sports fans out there that sell or collect sports cards? and if so which sports and why do you like those the best? I recently bought four boxes of cards and I'm looking into keeping some of the ones I want but selling most of them on e-Bay since many are just base cards but it'll make a good start to selling and hopefully getting returning buyers/bidders. I wish it was easier to find game used/race used cards, I just think it's so cool that they make cards with game used jersey, race win and race Used Tire and fire suit etc. I'm trying to get better at knowing which boxes or companies are worth my money, I know Press Pass is very popular in the NASCAR world, Upper Deck is a big company but I see some of these collectors that seem to find all the awesome cards, do they just know what to look for or is it pure luck? I know most cards are limited with serial numbers so their hard to come by.I would love to hear from other sellers or collectors, it's a fun hobby of mine and... | |
| | The Monday that showed up on Wednesday (a post script to my flat tire) | | As some of you may know, I had a flat tire on Monday. On Tuesday, I found someone who came and put my spare on for me. There was a nail was in the sidewall of the tire, so I was going to need a new tire, not just a tire repair. On Wednesday, I began calling around to see if anyone had a decent used tire to fit my car. I found a place who said they had one and drove over there after noon, planning to also get a oil change and lube before picking up some groceries and going to see Mom. Here's how it went.I got to the garage and the guy working the counter happened to be the step-dad to my daughter's friend. He personally took over with my car. Two hours into the wait, they're still arguing about there being a tire on the lot that would fit my car. Finally, the big guy comes in to tell me he's sorry, but he was wrong, they have no used tires to fit my car. So, I end up having to buy a new tire plus the oil change and a quart of tranny fluid. $108.10, to be precise, total.[em]shocked[/em]Finally, I get to leave and get on my way. By now, I'm hungry, because I hadn't eaten lunch before going over, so I swing into Taco Bell and begin smelling burning oil. Well, there is a car... | |
| | How much money do you spend on car repairs every year? | | Nowadays, we spend about $1300 yearly to keep our old hunk of junk running. We own it free and clear, so that's a bonus. And, honestly, I assumed that owning a car outright would be a real money savings. But, it hasn't turned out that way. Every month we replace a tire. And, my husband insists on buying a used tire everytime, so it ends up blowing out two months later. And, then it's more money to replace. Then there's the countless times we've fixxed the engine, transmission, etc. And, he won't get the car fixed at the dealership and insists on taking it to shade-tree mechanics. I'm no expert when it comes to cars, but even I see that one coming! How about you? Do you spend an unreasonable amount of money every year to keep your car running? What's your biggest car repair expense? | |
